Today in Owerri as early as 8am, IPOB members numbering about one million man match has stormed Owerri by surprise. Today's protest seems to took the governor of Imo Rochas Okorocha by surprise due to yesterday protest which many people believed to be a flop. IPOB protesters trouped along Douglas road and camped at Ama-Awusa temporarily. There are heavy detachment of Nigeria police and army following them behind and also blocking some roads.
All markets including Eke Onuwa, new market, Rotibi, banks, shops and business offices were shut down. Many were seen discussing in groups with topics demanding for Biafra and release of IPOB director Mr Nnamdi Kanu. The protest generated a heavy traffic today in Owerri.
